The older 2017 has recently been restored by me with new display and replacement of the old thermal paste with some PTM 7950 to keep it running cool. Battery is at 85% capacity and the machine is still fantastic for browsing, music and movies. It idles at 35 degrees and runs around 50 when watching video online with fans running at 16% so essentially silent. Picked it up for less than the cost of a 128GB SSD on Amazon.
