Had an ultrasound today where they discovered my fibroid has grown from 5 cm the last time they checked it a few years ago to 8cm. Causing me some cramps and a heavy, prolonged period every month. They said there are different treatment options including hormonal therapy to shrink it and surgery. Has anyone here been through the hormonal therapy and how did it work? Other side effects? I’m not against surgery and I’m done having kids so a hysterectomy isn’t out of the question but I’m also nervous because I’ve never had surgery before.
