Have I made a mistake? 2022 ionic 5
Done my research, found one i like in budget. Even managed to scrape enough for the 'ultimate model'
22 plate, 51k miles, good condition, serviced every year, battery health reported at 100% (they did it at the garage today). Test drove it, no weird noises.
Okay. Context done.
Im outside, basically deliberating on putting down the deposit when some bloke tells me not to get an ionic 5 as they've been reported as one of the least reliable vehicles by which... damn. Asked chatgpt and it said it was rated 17th out or 18 for reliability of EVs that age (asked for courses of course).
Well I was kinda at the end, so ive put down the deposit now, and im wondering if ive made a mistake.
Im aware of the ICCU issues, have asked if this has been patched/recalled/whatever but aside from this is there any reason I should bail and look for a different car? Is it really so unreliable? Anyone had issues with theirs, know of other issues? Or is it nonsense and I should just carry on?
Any advice welcome.
Thanks
