So my partner and I have been doing long distance for about 8 months now (EU to US - at least it's east coast lol) and we were hitting that wall where facetime started feeling more "forced" and repetitive. So in order to connect we thought of doing a project or something together, we're both devs so it just made sense to code something. This is how we came up with Keepme, it's an app where you both get a prompt daily and must respond with a photo - but the catch is you can't see your each other's photos until both of you respond, essentially it's the random blind exchange of pictures that feels easy and fun. Some days it's just my office window and her morning coffee and some days it's something that makes us laugh and like jump on a call immediately. We've also added question cards that aren't generic 'what's your favorite color' stuff.
Really curious what you guys do to stay connected day to day, we're always looking for more ideas
