I’ve been living in Mira Road for more than 16 years, and today I randomly decided to roam around like I used to back in the day. What started as a casual walk turned into a full trip down memory lane.

Mira Road has changed so much. New buildings everywhere, way more crowd, constant noise… places where there used to be open roads or empty spaces are now packed with shops and construction. It barely feels like the same place sometimes.

But walking around today brought back memories I hadn’t thought about in years.

I still remember school days when phones weren’t everything. Me and my friends used to spend ₹10 at cyber cafés just to play Counter-Strike. Mornings meant getting ready for school with VH1, MTV, and 9XM playing in the background, with those Bade-Chote jokes somehow making the day better.

Then there was Vardhaman Fantasy—those ₹2 tickets, bunking college lectures just to go there and chill with friends or sometimes with someone special.

Maxus bridge is another core memory. Me and my close friends sitting in the center during sunset, doing absolutely nothing, just talking and watching the sky. What a feeling that was 😍

Maxus Mall had its own era too—I still remember when Honey Singh came there and the whole area was packed.

Rasaz for cheap movie tickets, Chote Miya shawarma, Merwans cake shop… these weren’t just places, they were part of growing up here.

Then came the college phase—chai sutta spots, hookah parlours, cafés replacing the old Irani and local hangout spots. And of course, Kashmira bridge and those late-night bike race scenes.

After walking around today, I honestly can’t figure out what exactly I miss.

The old Mira Road?

The pre-digital era?

The people who were part of those memories?

Or maybe all of it.

Whatever it is, today Mira Road gave me a smile and quietly took me back to a version of life that felt simpler.

This is the song that started my guitar journey—the one I always wanted to play on an instrument on my own, and the reason I picked up the guitar in the first place. It’s still not perfect, but the motivation it gives me every time I play it is something I can’t even put into words. I know I still have a long way to go to truly add feeling to it, but I’m in no rush—I’m just enjoying every step of the journey. And honestly, I think this is something I’ll carry with me for life haha.

I might be spamming this thread with my videos 😅, but I decided to upload some of my recordings today since it’s my day off for Labour Day.

This is the last one for the day—I probably won’t get much time to post like this again anytime soon, so I’m making the most of today.

Till next time!

This was the first fingerstyle song I learned—for my sister, because she loves it. It’s been almost a year since I recorded this video, and since then, I’ve worked on it a lot and truly refined it.

Next time, I’ll record it with a proper setup and share the full, polished version with you all.

Hello everyone,

It’s been about a year and a half since I started playing guitar. I’m completely self-taught and have been learning through . Along the way, I’ve realized that I picked up some incorrect techniques—but I never noticed because I’ve never really played in front of others.

For me, playing guitar has always been personal. It’s how I disconnect from everything—stress, money, relationships, family—and just get lost in the music. Because of that, I never felt the need to play with or in front of anyone.

That changed recently when I visited a guitar store and met a classical guitarist. Watching him made me realize there’s a whole different level and approach to playing that I hadn’t explored before.

So my goal here is simple: I want to connect with people who share the same passion. Feel free to point out where I’m going wrong and guide me toward better techniques. And if you have any questions, I’ll be happy to share whatever I’ve learned so far.

Starting today, I’ll be posting my progress and updates here.

Looking forward to learning and growing together.

Edit - I realized that since I added the monkey face effect through Instagram, the video got trimmed to just one minute instead of the full song. I’ll keep this in mind and make sure it doesn’t happen again next time.
