I’ve had these hyperpigmented lesions for 5 years that are much more prominent in the summer. They are not itchy or painful, just dry and can’t be scrubbed off. Tried selsun blue topically for 2 weeks straight with minimal improvement and they have come back since then especially in my antecubutal fossas and around my armpits. They are also present on my trunk and chest but to a less visible extent. They look like pityriasis versicolor but haven’t responded well to selenium sulphide 1%. What do you guys think this is? Should I see a dermatologist or PCP to prescribe me a systemic antifungal because of how widespread it is? I appreciate all the help, hate the way it looks.
