It’s time to let go of my ‘05. I’ve had her since high school, I just turned 26. We’ve got a Fit that’s reliable and should compete with her on miles.

The transmission is on the way out, has torque converter shudder that’s stuck through multiple drain ‘n fills with OEM fluid. It’s easy to drive around, it shifts smooth when you’re accelerating hard. But it’s on the way out and I wouldn’t be driving her anyways with the worry of getting stranded.

It’s tough, the rest of the car is good for the miles. The engine leaks oil and needs a valve adjustment and timing belt, but runs smooth. One power door stopped working. Everything else is great.

Someone is picking her up as a parts car in a few hours. I’ll be crying as she goes away. It’s been a good run, and I’ll have another Odyssey in the future.
