I feel Turtles shut down is a loss for the entire genre, it proved that mmorpgs as they were during their golden years. Can still exist.
And it existed for longer than many mmos did.
People that didn't play it can't really understand.
Turtle more than any server felt like stepping back in time to how the game felt like in the early years when wow was new. And how mmos felt when they were at their most popular.
Despite all it's changes, maybe partly because of the even, but for so many reasons really. It just did so many things right.
Was one of the few mmorpg exeriences left that still pulled me back over and over. Because it was simply a good solid mmorpg experience that is very hard to find these days.
But i'm glad i was a part of it!
Thank you Turtle Wow, it was a good run!
