i remember when i was not able to dismiss my cool pet as hunter in Molten Core and everyone was upset when we wiped
I apologized and everyone was ok with that - no slurs or something
people was supportive and explained to me what was wrong in this area skip
it was my 1 time in raid in WoW and i was kinda upset by that but guys was so kind that i didnt even feel bad and had great time
The same thing was happening in some other raids ( hunter thing probably) but everyone was so kind that i almost cryed

I FUCKING love turtle wow. i play this game 21 hours a day with 2 hours to sleep and even when i do sleep i wake up SHAKING in a cold sweat wanting to play turtlewow. im PHYSICALLY ill when im not playing turtlewow. this is what i call DEDICATION!!

I've been giving bronzebeard a go and I really do like the "world forged" items and redesigned quest hubs and so on. But it just doesn't hit the same. Twow is simple, handcrafted and slow paced at its core and it's a shame I'll not get to fully experience it as a latecomer.
The custom features of other servers feel extremely in your face whereas you can login to twow for the first time and ask yourself "huh, What's actually new here?" Before slowly discovering it.
Bowser said we need to wait, cause something is about to start in the meantime...
So...what will be now?
-A rebrand is nearly imposible unless they have a firm and strong position in a really really nearly untouchable place.
-A P server of another MMO.
-An own project, but it's nearly imposible too, I mean, you know the effort and resources that you need for create a game or an MMO? It's not the same as maintain a P Server.
-They only faint death and they will be still alive in China.
-Another option, write your own.
-They where hired by Lizzard...that will be so dissapointing.
Speculations start, let your hopes raise or be realistic, they have plabed something for sure, or they're cooking something new.
Why are you happy, i left the game a while ago, but I can't understand why would the ending of something many people enjoy, bring you happiness, is it something irrational, emotion based? Or what? (I'm autistic btw so the doubt is not rethoric i want answers)
With servers closing, the reasonable decision for inferno (hc at 60) guilds, is to full send it. We already had <Hell fire> BWL push with 35 dead last week. This week <Hard Chores> are going to try clear Naxx for 2nd time on Nordanaar, and <HC Heroes> are going to push BWL on Ambershire. For lot of those players, its first time doing these raids, and due to time limit there is also plenty of undergeared players who previously would not be allowed into raids due to safety. Turtle wow was first vanila-like experience for lot of those players. But now there is no time to farm all possible upgrades from lower tier raids anymore, its all or nothing.
Thank you to the Turtle WoW team for creating such a beautiful and well-crafted version of World of Warcraft. It’s honestly incredible how you’ve managed to deliver an experience that even the small indie company Blizzard Entertainment could never match.
Active GMs, ticket responses within 5–10 minutes, no pay-to-win, virtually no bots, and an amazing community — these are the things that truly make a game feel alive.
This has been something really special, and I will genuinely miss it. Thank you for all the hard work, passion, and care you’ve put into it.
Man... I'll never forget Turtle WoW.
I started playing WoW way back just before vanilla TBC came out. No-lifed WoTLK, and then stopped when Cata came out. Just lost interest when they started ruining class identity, the world got "updated" in a way I didn't like, gearing become more about grinding tokens/currencies than farming RNG drops, and the world started to feel irrelevant with flying in Kalimdor etc.
Anyway, since then I've dabbled with the Blizz version of the game once or twice - but it never clicked.
Then when the lawsuit first started I heard about Turtle WoW. Decided to give it a go, and daaaamn. Stoked that I got to enjoy all the new content (except the end of K40), it was all so good, but I'm preaching to the choir here - you guys all know how good it was. That Classic feel, the immersion, the pacing, the loot dopamine, and even the community - too good man.
Anyway, just wanted to shout out to everyone I played with on Nord, and thanks to the Twow devs - you guys did something really amazing with the game.
On to the next thing!

r hardcore characters or simply left the server for good on the spot. I think that is a huge shame.
I have been playing World of Warcraft since 2005–2006, up until midway through Cataclysm. After that, I played on a private server here and there until Classic came out, when I started playing once again. But after the reports about starving employees at Activision and the Blitzchung controversy, I decided I was not going to give Activision Blizzard my money anymore. I stopped playing Classic before reaching 60, and didn’t play the game again.
That is, until I found Turtle WoW in the summer of 2025.
I made a character on Nordanaar and discovered the lightning in a bottle that the team had managed to create over the years. Turtle WoW was the first time since the originWhen it was announced that Turtle WoW would officially close on May 15, thousands of players killed theial release that I almost felt like a child again, exploring the world of Warcraft, albeit solo.
Despite my many years of playing the game, I have never aazing, unique experience that has been the past few daysctually reached level 60 in "vanilla" (I did reach max level in Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm though). The news hit just after I reached level 40 on the server. It hit harder than I expected, because I realized one thing when I heard it: after more than 20 years of World of Warcraft, this will be the time I hang up the cape for good.
That realisation affected me in ways I didn’t expect, and it has been occupying my thoughts ever since.
But I’m not done yet.
I’ve decided that now is the time. I will do what I can to reach 60 before it is over. I have sacrificed sleep, cleared my schedule as much as possible, which is not easy as an adult, mind you, and I am enjoying the time I have left.
And what a blast I’ve been having.
On the day of the announcement, there was a mass exodus. People killed their characters, logged off, and moved on. But in my opinion, those who left may have missed something special.
Over the past week, I have had one of the best experiences I have ever had in World of Warcraft. Everyone has started helping each other experience the content that still exists. People have gone far and out of their way to help each other, and me, achieve their goals. I have found people to do quests and dungeons with. I now ironically have more friends online now than I did before the announcement. I am in a guild. I am doiWhen it was announced that Turtle WoW would officially close on May 15, thousands of players killed theing more dungeons and elite quests than I ever did before the announcement.
I have received help in so many different forms, and I am having an absolutely amazing time. I know I am making memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
It is not always obvious when you are living through a moment that is truly special. But this is one of those moments.
For those of you saying Turtle WoW is dead: I am telling you, no, not yet.
Those of us who remain are still out there. We are questing, running dungeons, raiding, helping each other, and having the time of our lives. I am getting to see the amazing quests, zones, and dungeons that the Turtle WoW team built, and as of the time of writing, I have just managed to hit level 46 while doing so.
If you are wondering, “What’s the point?” The point is the memories you will create in these final days. The point is the people you will meet, the quests you will complete, the dungeons and raids you will run, and the stories you will carry with you afterwards.
If you are wondering whether you should still play, my answer is unequivocally yes.
All things must come to an end. That is the nature of reality. It is not only about the destination. It is about the journey. And Turtle WoW is in its ultimate act.
When someone asks you, “Where were you in the final days of Turtle WoW?” what will you say?
Will you say that you jumped ship to Project Epoch or somewhere else?
Or will you tell the stories of the amazing final days of the best private World of Warcraft server there has ever been, and possibly ever will be?
