Experience loop

Yesterday I had an interview in a cafe in Maastricht where in my cv I clearly stated my previous experiences (not hospitality related, but customer facing related). So I ASSUMED that the lady read my cv before call me in, I also had to reply to some questions before the interview where I said AGAIN that I hadn’t experience in hospitality. Long story short after an interview where the lady pictured me the waitressing job as the most difficult job in the world, almost mocking me because I’m also doing an internship, she told me that she preferred someone with more experience. Fair enough but where someone can start gaining experience if nobody’s willing to train people?

So, basically I’m living in this house which I love since August 2025, I asked the landlords if it possible staying at least another year but they told me that they can’t extend the contract because it has fixed terms, right now I’m paying 1020 for a furnished apartment. I found another apartment, in the same area I live, the rent is a bit higher 1098, but the apartment is bigger, AND UNFURNISHED. So I don’t really know if I should accept that, my plan is to stay long term in the Netherlands but right now I’m transitioning from being a student to being a worker here so I think it scares me a bit having to furnish a house because if I have to move out I’ll have also to either take the things with me or sell them. Let me know your point of view because I don’t really have anyone else to ask advice!
