[Amiga][1989-1990] top-down competitive racing game where it was ok/encouraged to run over pedestrians

I believe the game was available on other platforms, but I know for sure my college associates played it on their Amiga.

The game had two player capability (maybe four?) and a split-screen view for each racer. The track was winding within the straight boundaries of the screen; it went through different background terrains so the "side scenery" changed a lot.

There was a bit of a "Death Race" or Carmageddon feel to the game, as you could crash your car (it would regenerate but you'd lose time), and also run other vehicles off the road. There were also blocky "pedestrians" you could run over; I don't recall whether that gave you any points or benefit, but I'm certain it didn't incur a penalty.

A full race probably took 10-15 minutes to run. I unfortunately don't recall whether there were pickups or other things you could run over, or much else about the game. I was not hanging out with that group much at that time, so I had less experience with it.
