Hi, thinking of booking a flight to Japan with American Airlines here in August. My husband is military so generally his luggage is free with American. However I know American outsources it to JAL or ANA I believe. I’d assume the military complimentary luggage only goes one way but wanted to double check and was struggling to find an answer online.

Also welcome to other airline suggestions, have y’all found another airline to be cheaper after luggage gets tacked on? It’s our first time so we expect to do a lot of shopping.
