Snowboarding Need to Knows
Hello, complete newbie here. I have gone snowboarding twice in my life, once in middle school, and once in college. I didn't drive either time and have actually been on the mountain less than 10 hours combined. I was hoping to look into going back out this next season but since no one in my family snowboards I have very little info to go off of.
My first question is about gear. Other than clothes, should I wait on purchasing boots/board/helmet until I know I will be going more frequently?
My second question is more about traveling. I have a 2016 Camry and a little bit of driving experience in snow. I assume I should at least invest in some chains prior to making any travels. Should I also be looking into snow tires? Also should I avoid travel because of my vehicle? I don't want to end up stranded anywhere haha.
If you all have any tips I would greatly appreciate the advice.
