I used to work at a site for Allied Universal somewhere in the U.S. and during a few months in, my father got very sick and I requested a transfer so we could be closer to family and instead of me taking care of him full time, me and my family could take turns instead and lo and behold, my request was not even accounted for.
When I was able to call back after moving to tell them where I was and where I could work, literally 3 days later I get either an email or text saying something along the lines of: "Thanks (Me) for reaching out, your voluntary resignation from allied universal is being processed, we thank you for being a part of the Allied Universal team and we wish you luck in your future career!" I of course was like "WTAF, you got this shit all wrong!" because I had asked for a transfer and since they didn't have an ops manager (big surprise) at that time, I had to wait but they somehow took that "What? No, I'm not resigning, I've been waiting for a transfer." as a "Yes, I do voluntarily resign my position at Allied Universal."
I swear I've worked at 3 contracted private security companies, and they are all so fucking bad, why do we keep putting up with this bullshit? is anybody in America with a working brain hiring for security officers? you know the type of company that actually has integrity and doesn't listen to every stupid superficial thing a client asks and only listens when the client brings up an actual valid concern and also has it's shit together? No? Well in that case I must've been struck by lightning because I'm completely shocked...
I'm never working security again until there's a company out there that has it's shit together, has the balls to stand up for actual guards who punch in, do the job properly then punch out no matter how much the client dislikes them, actually has administration working properly and treats security like SECURITY and not some goddamn scapegoat for the client being a bunch of out of touch clowns who don't listen! So, with that out of the way, give or take, I'll probably never work security again and who can blame me?
Is anyone else completely done with this bullshit like I am?
