I was involved in my first ever real major accident. I’ve been in Fender benders in the past, many years ago, today a car was driving east made a left-hand turn as i was approaching in the western lane on the oppositeside . I crashed into his passenger side. Police came, he went to the hospital my daughter and i are ok , the registered owner of the vehicle came to the scene police gave me the report number and the tow truck driver the police called gave me the towing company’s information I answered the questions on GEICO‘s claim form. Their response is that the car is being transferred to an insurance auto auction lot. What can I expect in this process? Car is financed only about two months old. I live in new york if that matters.
