Subscription benefit for premium tier for joint accounts

My wife and l have separate checking and retirement accounts but joint brokerage accounts at ML/BofA.

  • we have a joint brokerage account which has enough funds to meet the premium tier. My wife’s retirement accounts at ML are limited so she would need the joint brokerage account to qualify for the planned $15/mo.

  • I have a retirement account at ML that would qualify me for the premium tier without having to rely on the joint brokerage account.

The questions I have is can we each designate an individual checking account separately for the $15/mo subscription benefit so it effectively becomes $30/month or $360/year? This would make the benefit comparable to Citi which offers $400/year as subscriptions credit.
