when we think about productivity, what comes to mind? waking up earlier. pomodoro technique. notion templates. time blocking. more, faster, harder.
but have you ever considered that maybe the problem isn't the tools?
for a long time i kept asking myself "why can't i work productively." i optimized my calendar, built a morning routine, watched every single productivity video out there. it worked for a while. then i'd end up right back where i started. burned out, overwhelmed, mind all over the place.
then it hit me.
i was treating my mind like a machine. never letting it stop, never letting it breathe. constantly chasing the next task, the next goal, the next thing. that's when i started trying meditation and lotus flow. just 10 minutes a day sitting and breathing, doing absolutely nothing - and it genuinely changed something. walking into a stressful meeting without that old panic feeling. when things go sideways, my brain doesn't just shut down anymore. i can actually take a step back and look at the situation. my focus shifted too. i can sit with one thing for longer now. that constant drifting feeling got quieter.
these aren't life-altering transformations. but life doesn't really change through dramatic moments anyway. it changes through small things that slowly stack up.
when you take care of your mind, it takes care of you. 🌸
