AITH for wearing leather thong sandals to my vegan friend's house?
Hello. I (24F) have a vegan friend (23F). Last weekend, I went to her house. I am not vegan. When I went to her house, I was wearing a denim jacket, a turtleneck sweater, skinny jeans and leather thong sandals. I obviously took my sandals off so I went barefoot inside her house.
When I was about to leave, I was wearing my sandals back on and my friend noticed they were made of leather. She didn't stop telling me I was supporting animal cruelty and I was an ignorant or evil person for wearing leather. She told me animals died just because my feet would be comfortable.
When I was wearing my sandals, she also probably saw that I had red nail polish on my toes and started asking me if my nail polish was vegan and cruelty free. When I told her I didn't know, she accused me again of supporting animal cruelty and that I shouldn't harm animals just to look good.
Actually my sweater was wool but she didn't see it since I didn't take my jacket my off because her house was a bit cold. AITH for going to her house in leather thong sandals?
