Am I the only one?
I get it. Mendoza is the best prospect we’ve seen out of the draft in (maybe) decades. He’s got everything, talent, humble, work ethic, good family, etc. He’s looks like as sure of a franchise quarterback as this team has seen since Geno Smith! (I kid, I kid)
That being said, I hope he doesn’t take one meaningful snap this year.
I think the best thing this team can do for him is to give him some time to learn the speed, playbook, teammates, press needs, etc. that come with the bright lights of the NFL. Apprentice under Brady and Cousins for a full season. Give management one additional off season to address team shortfalls. Then give it all away to him.
Am I the only one feeling this way?
EDIT: Already people finding complaints. The RAIDERS best prospect, not the entire NFL…
