I am 15 in the uk and want to start a small business, selling little things like hair accessories, clay decorations, altered clothes and so on. However, do I need any sort of licence for it? I won't be selling food or anything with electric in it... but do i have to make sure that no one gets hurt still? I personally think it's impossible to get hurt by a hair clip with a magnetic removable ribbon bow but like... do I need a permit for that, or would it just be insurance? I don't want to get in trouble by accident but I want to be able to sell my stuff freely for some extra cash. obviously they'll be well made as I don't want complaints or anything but if someone snaps the magnets together in their hair and complains it hurts them or something?? What do i do? Do i just need to specify on packaging that you don't put it in your mouth orrrr? Magnets are pretty weak. Strong enough to hold well but weak enough to not actually be able to get yourself get UNLESS you slap it at someone like a whip (which you won't be able to do once it's cut really small and attached to a hairclip) Soooo?? Permits, official safety testing or something yes or no? I don't want to break any rules.
