X4 — black vertical band on screen from day one, reset didn’t help

Has anyone experienced display issues with the Xteink X4? Looking for help
I’ve had my X4 for three weeks now, and the display has looked like this since the very first time I switched it on — it arrived this way.
It looks like a hardware defect or a screen initialization failure.
I’ve already tried the standard reset procedure without any luck. Has anyone run into the same issue, or does anyone know of a fix

I purchased an X4 e-reader directly from the official website xteink.com and it arrived defective. I’ve been contacting customer support for three weeks; they promised to send a replacement device, but I haven’t received any updates since.

Based on this experience, I strongly discourage buying from them due to the poor customer service. I am now proceeding to file a dispute with Revolut to request a refund.
