I have the LG 27gx704a - B. I've used it for quite a few hours now and i've noticed that there is a big issue with low luminance color reproduction in HDR.
In games low luminance colors, things ranging from 0.001nits to 0.1 nit have a strange effect where they look pale and not white but blank as if the color was removed from them. This is particularly noticeable in a game like Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
In that game there can be some extremely low luminance scenes. In particular my issue surrounds areas at night where some corner may be completely black but then all of the color around it is this pale or milky white, its really hard to describe and hard to capture in an image.
I have tried many calibration settings and 0 600 600 is what looks best to me with peak brightness set to low.
I truly feel like this completely destroys the image in hdr as this horrible color sticks out completely in an otherwise great image. Is this a known issue? I've searched and searched and cant find much, mostly people just rave about dark colors. But this just looks terrible. Hopefully I'll be able to better describe my issues with further comments.
