Hello,

I am an incoming freshman at UF this year and i'm trying to figure out what I want to major in. I was to go into immunology or genetics but I also want to purse the cellular engineering side of it. I like the classes for the BME major because they are higher level and I feel like they would be easier to transfer within (say i change my mind and want to pursue engineering, which I don't think is far out of reach). Is there any way I can do genetic / immunology research as a student of the engineering college, and do you think it's worth going in with an engineering background rather than a CLAS background?
