Hey everyone,
I’m a VTU (India) student from the AI & Data Science branch (2022 scheme) applying to FAU Data Science.
I’m confused about how FAU evaluates credits (ECTS), especially for math. My coursework includes:
- Linear algebra topics (vector spaces, eigenvalues, transformations)
- Probability distributions (binomial, normal, Poisson)
- Statistical inference (hypothesis testing, ANOVA)
These are spread across multiple subjects like Math I, Math II, and Math for CS, not standalone courses.
My question:
Will FAU consider this sufficient for their math requirements, or do they expect clearly separated modules like “Linear Algebra” and “Statistics”?
If anyone from a VTU background has applied or received a decision from FAU, it would really help to know how your credits were evaluated.
