YO! I picked up a broken Xbox 1.0 and been troubleshooting it. Original issue was "Powers on, but no display/Post." Here's what I know:

Was able to get it to post: Blue Xbox logo with EvoX logo. flashed to TSOP??
Clock capacitor removed (first thing i did when opening. pic of board taken before removal)
Fresh thermal paste applied, heatsink secured
New IDE cable installed just for testing I had an extra 40 laying around)

Symptoms:

Boots to EvoX/Xbox splash screen then freezes regardless of what's connected
Freezes with HDD connected, without HDD, with known good HDD from working console (trying out everything to try and get to an error screen)
After freezing for a while, Ring starts alternating red/green
No bad caps visible, IDE port looks good

Any ideas on what could cause it? Should I try my hand at replacing caps?

Possible bad RAM? IDE controller issue? Any help appreciated!!! I'm very new at trying Xbox repair!

Also, I know this system needs a good cleaning :)
