I need to change my DL to my new address in WI, put the title in my name (which is separate from registration I guess?) and get new plates. The total cost is over $300.

Many years ago (I’m 50) when putting a car title in you name…on the title it asks how much was paid for the car, and the lower amount you put the less they charges in taxes I believe. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on getting the lowest cost? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.
