Back in twenty twenty one my mom signed me up for an adult driver ed course.I completed it and took it to the driver’s license place to get my permit but I never took an actual road test to get the B restriction off of my permit.I am now twenty three and want to get my license and start driving so I was going to sign up for driving lessons with the same school I did the adult course with yesterday.They called me today and said I should contact dps to see if I would have to retake the adult course because you guys would need proof that I took it before a road test can be scheduled and they do not have that anymore since those documents have since been shredded since it’s been years and I myself don’t have proof that I took an adult course from their school.What I am asking is do I have to retake an adult course with them or do I not have to even though my permit is still valid?This is for Texas.

I know im sol but I’m desperate! I live in Syracuse ny, title is from PA. We purchased a suv, Where it saids sellers and purchaser we all accidentally filled out wrong (switched spots) I’m like no biggie probably going to need a new title. Well the title doesn’t match the sellers name (bill of sale is under sellers name to). Well we message the seller and it’s a case of title jumping and he contacted the original owner and she’s not responding. We know the car is not stolen because a sheriff ran the vin. The title is notarized. This is what the seller is willing to do: he said he will register under his name and get it insured while we hold on to the plates the dmv gives us (we stay with him at dmv) and when the title comes in he transfers it to us (we have to pay the taxes) or he can give us 2,000 of the money back and when he gets paid he’ll pay us back (we paid 4,500). Honestly I’m at a lost not only was it all the money we had but we drove 1.5 hours for a suv that’s useless to us because of this whole title jumping mess. We have the vehicle, title (filled out wrong) and bill of sell. I genuinely don’t think he did it on purpose but who knows, Please any advice? What would you do? What are my next steps?

I am an international student studying in the United States on an F-1 Visa. My visa stamp is set to expire in June, though my I-20 is active until May 2029; therefore, if I do not leave the United States, my status remains legal.

However, I received my real ID (DL) today, and it was a limited-term and was set to expire in November 2026, which is super weird since it does not correspond to any of my paperwork, not my Visa stamp nor my I-20 end date. Is this a specific issue that's associated with a real ID? IDK how I ended up getting a real-ID instead of a regular driver's license. Is anybody facing this problem? Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Please help me out if you know, thanks so much! It would mean so much for an international student just trying to get around like me. 😭

We are still planning the funeral trying to get funds together for that

I need to sell the car soon uncle can’t have it much longer

She bought the car with cash (caller dealership) but we couldn’t find the title in the car or in her belongings

Instead of trying to get the title which will take months I’m guessing since I’m out of state. Can i just sell it to a used car place idk please help.

This is my first time applying for a California license. I’m currently stationed here and I live in unaccompanied housing. I have my CAC, paper copy of my Alabama state ID, my Leave and Earnings Statement, my military orders, and a Statement of Service from my command.

I’m wondering if this is all I need, these are the only documents I can bring at the moment. I’ve done my research but I wanted to verify before making the commitment of going in. Any help is appreciated.

I don't even know if I titled this correctly, so bear with me.

My previous car got totaled. Managed to get my customized plates off of it. Bought used car from Carvana that came with registered NY plates. I plan on going to the NY DMV to give those back and transfer my customized plates on to it.

So my question(s) is/are..
1- Do I drive to the DMV with the new issued plates or my own own customized plates?
If answer is "with the issued plates", then do I transfer my customized plates at the parking lot?

2- Or do I have to show both the new issued plates that are going to be turned in, as well as my customized plates at the DMV desk person (This would leave the car without plates in the parking lot., and knowing NY, they will probably tow it away).

Honestly confused on the procedure.

My dad is gifting me a car from his business, and I’ve brought in the paperwork to get the registration transferred. I keep getting told that I don’t have the required paperwork. First I came in and I didn’t have a signature needed and they said I had to bring the owner of the business with me to complete the needed paperwork or bring in the minutes. The business is small it’s just my dad and my grandparents and my grandpa is the owner. I brought him with me the next time, they had him fill out the required signatures, and then they said I had to bring in the minutes but I was still able to pay for it and they gave us an incomplete application. I just came in to bring in the minutes and I was told I needed documentation that I would be tax exempt and the corporation would handle the taxes. I just don’t understand why I need this because it’s a gift from a family member, but the gift is going through the corporation?? I just need help understanding exactly what I need to bring in and if I’m missing any other forms so I don’t have to come to the dmv for more than a fourth time.

Last May I got a ticket in New Jersey which I didn’t pay. When I went to renew my drivers license in California two weeks ago they said I had to deal with this ticket before I could renew.

I paid the ticket in person in New Jersey and when I asked how it would be submitted into the system so that California knows it is paid, New Jersey DMV representative said “ What was the fax number they gave you where we can submit the proof of payment?”

I have no idea and I can’t find the info online. Does anyone know the fax number of the appropriate department of the California DMV? I would’ve thought there would just be a national system where this would be entered but apparently NJ DMV needs to contact CA DMV directly 🤷‍♀️

I am currently living in California for a couple of months and found a car I’ve been wanting to buy. Am I able to buy it and then register it with my home state? Or do I have to register it in CA and get California plates?

Does anyone know some details about how the DL/ID is issued?

I passed my driving test yesterday and wanted to update my document. Because those status documents were all expired and I have the new one with me. However, the counter staff didn't allow me to do that.

I checked the ID status online and found it will expire in 2 months, do I still have any chance to update my status documents to extend the validity period of the my DL/ID? How can I do that if so?

I'm currently 17 with the basic learners license and turn 18 before holding my learners license for 6 months. I was wondering once I turn 18, would I need to complete the separate Adult Drivers Ed to apply for the adult driver license or can I use the current Teen Driver Ed course?

Guy buying bike from never transferred title into his name from previous seller, Red flag goes off for Title jumping...

I ask him to send me pictures front and back and everything checks out, the original seller name from the front matches the signure for sell on the back and signed. Nothing else is filled out.

Best case scenario right? Just add my name, dates, sell price and take to the Dmv like nothing happened. I even threw all this into Chatgpt with pics and said it would be fine, maybe get a bill of sale from current "owner" in case.
