You can imagine my surprise when my partner tells me she is having major, foundational issues with her primary. They have been together 22 years. He may move within the month. How do I best support her? How do I avoid the pitfall of assuming I’ll slide into that primary role (she was just seeing the two of us). I’ve only been in the picture for a short while. Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.
