Need advice (M) long wavy hair (products or routine)

Hey guys, M23 here, so I've been growing out my hair for over a year now, I always do it but I cut it all by summer holidays all the time, this time I'm planning not to.

My hair is dark, long and wavy and thick and I slick it back, it looks good at first after showering, but the problem is once it dries it starts puffing out mostly on the sides and it just looks ridiculous.

The only way I've managed to keep it flat is by wrapping a towel over it and sleeping on it until it dries, and it only stays flat for 2 days max.

What I want is for it to be softer, smoother with less puffiness and volume, flowy and natural looking, not super dry or frizzy, kinda like Keanu Reeves in John Wick.

I know I gotta use products but I have absolutely no clue which ones to buy or how to use them, which ones to stay away from, or maybe a specific shampoo etc... I'm clueless, and I don't want to ask the cosmetics store guy for advice like this cause he'll likely just get me to buy his most expensive products or whatever.

Also if you know a good online store or maybe a cosmetics store (Algiers or near) refer me to it.

I'd appreciate any advice (10k upvotes and i'll go bald)

Basically the title, unfortunately I haven't been the best muslim lately, only doing musts (prayer, fasting etc..) and that's about it

I feel so out of touch with Allah, like I feel no connection whatsoever and I feel like I'm just autopiloting through my days, I do have goals and dreams and I'm working towards them but I don't know if I'm just wasting my time or if it'll ever work out, meaning I'd succeed

I do duaa but I'm also shy and humiliated to ask Allah for more stuff, I don't really know how to explain it but I feel like don't get to ask Allah for stuff for example for help achieving my dream or at least knowing if I'm on the right road, the reason for that is that I'm not really doing much to get close to Allah, just doing what i must do

I have tried praying nawafil, fasting mondays and thursdays etc... but to no avail, I guess I'm just really depressed although i don't wanna admit it, as silly as it sounds I don't believe in depression

I don't know if this has anything to do with sihr or not but I don't think so, I don't like to think of that as an excuse, I know I'm the problem

So what should I do? how do I know I'm on the right path? how do I know I can actually achieve what I'm working towards? and it won't just be a big waste of time because it's literally taking 8+ hours of my days just working on my goals (aside from uni stuff)

Hi, I'm 23M, Algerian, a native Arabic speaker, extremely fluent in English.

I’m looking for someone around my age who speaks Japanese and would be interested in language exchange and becoming friends.

I started learning Japanese a few years ago, but I had to stop because of personal reasons (didn't really get too far... just the basics). Now I’m planning to pick it up again this summer since I’ll have a lot more free time, and I’d love to practice with someone consistently.

I’m currently a 2nd-year economics student. I spend most of my free time playing video games, and I’m trying to go pro in CS2, I’m pretty good at it. I also enjoy watching professional matches, mostly CS2, League of Legends, and Valorant, but honestly I can watch esports for almost any game.

I’m not super into watching shows or movies, don't get me wrong I do watch sometimes and I enjoy it, I also watched a few animes but I'm not like obsessed with it or anything, so yeah I do watch from time to time but i prefer playing games instead.

Also, this is my first time doing a post like this or language exchanging in general, I dont know what to expect :| but dm me if interested

Thanks!
