Long story short on my husbands side we have a family vacation where everybody all 6 kids are going and their families.
My husband and his 2 blood siblings and his 3 step brothers.
My MIL (his mom) wants a professional picture photoshoot done at the beach since not everybody goes every year which is completely valid.
Problem is i have 1 kid who I have forbidden her from posting or mentioning the name online on social media, and I don’t want my baby in those pictures bc the photographer has rights to those photos and I never see the pictures again from my mother in law if we ever take any as a family with even an iPhone. In the past I have told photographers please don’t use the photos for promotional use. I just don’t want my kid on social media. The MIL is friends with my husband’s ex which idk why lol and I have my reasons for not wanting my kid on social media. It’s not safe.
Am I over reacting? Or is my opinion completely valid? I am gonna to tell her no that I don’t feel comfortable. Mind you this is a week at the beach so pray for me ugh. My husband respects that I don’t want our kid on social media but idk how he’s going to feel about this. I am over protective but my mother in law just posts everything on Facebook if you let her. She’s been respectful so far but I’m going to tell her ahead of time so she doesn’t waste her money hiring a photographer and at the end of the day get startled when I say no.
