I’m currently a sophomore at Indiana state and recently got accepted to go to Purdue for MET. I would still graduate the same time , in MAY 2028 but am having a hard time because I would be giving up my job . I currently have an internship at a manufacturing company and two years experience in a manufacturing setting at this point. My main motivation for going to Purdue is better network and job prospects when I get out of school . I’m confident I can get an internship this next school year if I go to purdue or stay at Indiana state in the summer. However I would be giving up on a manufacturing job while in school , so I’m having a tough time deciding if going to Purdue to get that name recognition will be worth it or staying and getting more work experience is better at a worse engineering school . If any Purdue grads or transfers can give me some insight as to if the work experience or college name will be more valuable .
Anyone have any recommendations on if transferring to Purdue is a good idea . I’m most worried about calculus 2 and physics 2, as I’ve already done one and two and they were challenging . Trying to decide if it’s worth transferring to have the Purdue name
