So I came across the term 'Mahaganapati Homa' somewhere and wanted to know if it is different from the Ganapati Homam.

Like on the mantra level, I know they're different: Ganapati mantra is Om {Ganapati beeja} ganpataye namah whereas Mahaganapati mantra is Om <five bijas> ganpataye sarvajanam me vashamanaya swaha.

My question is whether the Homa of the two is also different. If yes, in what respect?

And also (please answer this separately if possible) which of the two uses Ashtadravyas?

Repeat:

Ganapti Homa vs Mahaganapati Homa: are they different?
