Hi,

I'm in the market for ceramic tinting my car for UV protection and heat reduction purposes.

Ontario has no tint on the windshield and 70% VLT on passenger and driver windows. As far as I know, most factory tints are usually already at these levels.

I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to do a 70% ceramic tint all around (which allegedly is pretty transparent).

Max I'm thinking is 50% on the passenger and driver side window. Bad idea?

Anyone with a similar setup get into trouble or have compromised visibility specifically at night?

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I just recently started learning about the benefits of ceramic tint and have been asking dealers around for quotes.

From where I'm from, it's illegal to have any sort of tint on the windshield and up to 70% on passenger and driver windows. I understand 70% is pretty transparent, but I'd rather not risk it.

I was wondering if it's still worth it to 70% tint for the other windows without the windshield. Are there clear films that reduce UV+heat maybe for the windshield?

Also is Xpel XR PLUS a good ceramic tint?

Thanks in advance !
