Our HVAC company quoted us nearly $500 to install an Intermatic CD1-024R protector.

We declined, as that is mostly labor. Hubby is savvy enough to do these types of projects. We have a Carrier, and I cannot find any images or videos of the same wiring setup online, so that he can see and be confident that he is connecting to the right wires.

Looking at the pictures I included... Does he separate the thicker yellow and thinner yellow from the twist cap, then cap the red from Defender to the thicker yellow, and the black and ground from Defender to the thinner yellow?
