So I watched the movie again and really paid attention to the plot to see if it truly didn't make sense like man children keep saying. And of course it made perfect sense. "oh fox could've been play by anyone else" "oh it doesn't feel anything like the galaxy games" "why didn't they bring these characters instead of these other unnecessary ones "(like fox and mr game and watch)

1 : omg you don't say, any character in the history of media could be replaced by someone else...

2: it's about galaxy characters, with an adventure in the galaxy, while having a plot for a movie. I genuinely don't understand if yall expect them to go tiny planet to tiny planet getting through obstacles and beating bosses the whole time 😂

3: yall stay crying about wanting a smash bros fighter movie but cry because certain characters are introduced and "aren't needed" or "stupid way to bring them" 🤦

But the saddest part to me about all these man children crying about a kids movie is the way they completely disregard the effort in this movie. Yea no one is arguing that the plot is deep but it's good enough for fun. I mean come on look at what they try giving us older fans whether it's a joke/scene or background detail. Like come on, what kid right now is going to catch that peach talking to mario through the letter is a mario 64 intro nod, or that bowser singing as he's tiny running up the stairs is his boss fight music from mario 64, or that random gadget in the background on browsers Jr's weapon wheel is f.l.u.d.d., a beloved game from our childhood.

Kids loved this movie without nearly many of the memories and knowledge of the series we had growing up and yet yall are the ones trashing it for absolutely no good reason while they loved it. enjoying a movie is subjective but the way yall over exaggerate the hate... PATHETIC. And then don't have a clue why Nintendo doesn't give a flying fadoodle about making new games or remakes the way og players want them.
