Grading Old Cards

I recently got possession of a binder full of base set, fossil, jungle and other very interesting cards (I estimate 1,000+). Photo shows a handful that I’ve pulled out and set aside.

I’ve heard that older cards are rare to be graded well but most of these skyrocket graded. I have no real interest in selling I just like slabs.

Some are beyond salvation, others are impressively well kept. I’m just wondering if it’d be worth my time and money sending them in. Or if anything can be done to improve their quality? Let me know your thoughts!

Are older cards worth grading?

If anyone is interested in more or higher quality photos lmk
