Hey all! 2021 Highlander XLE (gas) with about 67k miles. Shop says it’s leaking from the transmission front seal in the bell housing area.

No slipping, shifts fine, no obvious noise, just the leak.

Seems a bit early for that seal to go, so I’m trying to figure out what could actually be causing it. Has anyone here dealt with this on a Highlander? Was it just the seal or did it end up being something like the torque converter or something deeper?

Just want to make sure I’m not missing anything before pulling the trigger on the repair since the trans has to come out.
