It certainly sucks but...

It certainly sucks but...

Hair takes a while to grow back... Why not have some fun with it while you wait? Make sure to love yourself, with or without hair, and heck, if it helps, have some fun with it! It's not all doom and gloom, it's simply just who you are, don't fret over it, take it day by day ;p

Tank Glow Up

First time with a true aquarium. First pic is my brother's old tank, second is mine. Rehoming an ADF certainly turned into an adventure! I was very adamant against doing my own aquarium and sticking with herps till this project. Really opened my eyes.

Neat Blue Spotted Salamander Find

Found this little guy when we were tearing out a tree. My brother was going to keep him in a spare twenty gallon that I used to have for my leopard gecko but upon finding he was endangered he was released. Awesome experience! We live in the middle of a bunch of fields in NW Ohio so I didn't expect to see one of these around at all!

Adopted this male Alien Betta from none other than Petco today. Noticed his tail is 'weighing' him down and he's sticking towards the lower water column? He's exploring the bottom but also taking breaks and just resting on leaves and such. Tank is a ten gallon stocked with 3 ADFs, 6 CPDs, a mystery snail, and 3-ish Amano shrimp. 0 Ammonia and 'Trite, and a few 'Trate (see pic attached for both my tank and water from cup levels) Tank has been cycling for over a month now, probably close to two. Everyone's peaceful. Doesn't seem to be any pineconing or bloating. Swims with kind of a curve in the tail, can straighten it out more times than others but doesn't hold that position. Is it swim bladder? Deformity? Dropsy? Parasites? What can I do to help him? I added in the Betta log to try and provide more upper resting spots. Thanks in advance!!
