I bought an Xteink X4 and I’m using Crosspoint 1.1.1.
The original SD card became unreadable. I couldn’t access or format it anymore, either through Windows or DiskPart. I don’t remember the exact chain of events, but I do remember trying to place bitmap files into the sleep folder before it happened. I assumed it was just a low-quality SD card, so I bought a new one.
With the new SD card, the device froze twice while indexing an EPUB file. Each time, the SD card became corrupted afterwards, and I had to wipe it, create a new partition, and reformat it with DiskPart because Windows couldn’t access or format it normally.
After some troubleshooting, I figured the cover image inside the EPUB was probably too large (3MB) for the device to process. I edited the EPUB in Calibre editor and reduced the image dimensions. After that, it worked for a while and I was finally able to read my first ebook on the device.
Now suddenly the reader can’t detect any ebooks on the SD card anymore. "No books found" message is displayed in the reader when browsing files. When accessing the SD card with windows, I'm prompted to format the SD card before I can use it.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what might be causing this? Any advice would be appreciated.
