AITAH for not wanting to visit my sister because I have exams?
I (17M) have exams in the coming weeks and i have to revise like 24/7 for them as I picked difficult subjects. my mom (50F) is going to arrange to go to moldova to see my half sister (30F) in june but the week shes trying to book it for is the week before i have exams and i’ll need to revise for it a lot.
I explained this to my mom but she says it doesn’t matter too much and I should just revise before we go. But i’m doing three maths papers and I do best in exams when ive had time to prepare right before. i said it would be more good if I didn’t go with her and i can just see my sister next time but she said that it shouldn’t make too big of a difference to my exams and we don’t see her often so I should come too.
my mom has a short temper so it turned into a argument quickly, she said its just an excuse to not go. it’s really not though because i like seeing my sister it’s not that i don’t want to go it’s just these are really important exams and I want to get the best marks i possibly can, and I think being able to focus on revising before the exam would be the best way. my mom is cursing me out about it
