Am I unfortunate?

I recently had my 1 month old chalazion removed externally by surgery. I had stitches and got them removed by the same doctor 2 weeks ago.

Everything seemed fairly normal with some slight puffiness in the morning but that would subside as the day went on.

Yesterday I cried way too much and both my eyelids puffed up severely in the course of an hour to the morning after. And now I’m feeling that the Chalazion site that was once flat after my surgery is now a bit tender and inflamed.

Could it be irritated from when my eyelid was puffed up while I was crying? It’s only at one spot around the incision site and not my whole eyelid. Could it be scar tissue?

+ I used tea tree wipes to cleanse my eyelids after the prescription medicine was no longer needed.

And is this any reason for me to panic? What can I do? I don’t want to irritate it even more.

🥲🥲 Hi everyone! I got an external incision on my chalazion 10 days ago and the doctor was able to remove it externally since it was quite large and more externally situated. Recently I got the stitches removed 4 days ago, and have been applying Betadine solution + Floximed ointment on the area as prescribed.

It’s been 4 days after getting the stitches removed, however I can still feel and see that my eyelid is uneven in size compared to the other and SLIGHTLY puffy/raised near my waterline. (Though the main chalazion bump is noticeably gone and my eye doesn’t stick out so much anymore)

Anyway, is a slight lump and puffiness in the area normal? I heard scar tissue can form and can take months to years to heal and since it was removed externally it might be harder to heal. So what exactly should I expect? And how do I know if it’s scar tissue? Will it heal/deflate on its own over time?

How can me and my partner comfortably clean our parrot’s eye? It seems slightly red and puffy (with a loss of feathers around the area). He’s been mishandled before and basically doesn’t let anyone touch him. We don’t want to induce even more stress onto him but I fear it may lead to an infection if not already. Does anyone have any advice?
