The family of a man who died of a heart attack after nobody could call 911 due to Telus service being down has sued. And Telus' defense is apparently that the man who died was the negligent one for expecting to be able to reach 911 via his Telus service.

If it weren't so sad it would be almost funny how closely their position resembles dealing with one of their customer "service" reps. ("If you had read the full contract you'd see we actually ARE allowed to just let you die. It's not our fault you didn't read your contract more carefully..."")

This is the company that wants us to trust them with our healthcare now...
