800 to 1,100 apps per request in the AI screening tool we tried are useless.
In-house TA at a mid-sized company, pushed a handful of roles live last month and got buried... 800 to 1,000 apps per req, even at 7 seconds a resume that's 90 minutes just to sort before anyone's actually screening. Tried two AI screening tools that turned out to be keyword filters with a prettier UI, rejecting strong candidates and surfacing obvious mismatches. Anyone actually using something that reads the role properly and gives real rational, not just title matches?
