[TRIP-HOP] Petit Bouchon de Liege
Just released a new track and music video on my channel LeDjamm.
The song is in French. Slow trip-hop spoken-word piece (85 BPM) where the narrator describes how a cork stopper on his desk one night smiles at him, leaves the house with him, hops alongside through Belgian streets, encounters a black cat, falls into a canal, then finds himself in a sunny meadow. The lyrics play on a Belgian wordplay: "Liege" is both the city and the French word for cork. There’s a sudden pastoral break in the middle (acoustic guitar, sheep bleating) before returning to the dark trip-hop. Style: Brel meets Massive Attack.
Music video is fully stop-motion, handcrafted aesthetic (felt, clay, real cork). Reference points: Adam Elliot, Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox.
