The Smash Factor: Day 27
Day 26 of Smash Factor has come and gone! As a couple judges comments would have mentioned yesterday was a bit of a weird day at first-The submission quality was great for the most part-There were a couple that could use improvements and another that DEFFO needed more of a case *Cough* *Cough* Mr Game and Watch *Cough* Cough* But we weren't really sold on any of the characters themselves-a lot of them we could definitely come back to for sure but they didn't really add anything that we felt was missing from the roster-Until Pythra got submitted that is. Pythra was almost a landslide sweep with the judges-funnily enough the one submission that stopped it from being a unanimous vote was JC's other submission of Rayman.
Pythra added a couple things that the roster needed-The first was a new Xenoblade Rep, we haven't had one since Day 3, and while there are other series that are in more dire need of an additional rep it was about time Xenoblade got its 2nd rep too. The other was that there aren't a lot of female fighters on the roster. We had 7 so far-9 counting Byleth and Inkling who are both a Male and Female fighter. So Pyra & Mythra added some much needed girl power to the roster! They're also just a great veteran pick in general so those reasons and more were why 4/5 of the judges decided to choose them as the most recent addition to the roster!
Now lets move onto the rules!
The rules for Smash Factor are pretty simple-Characters you submit must be eligible for Smash-They have to be Video Game Franchises and the character has to have appeared in a Video Game (E.g. no Android 21 from DBZ Fighterz and none of the Sonic Comic characters who've never appeared in a game).
Tell us IN DETAIL why we should pick your character! Even if it's a character that you think speaks for themselves on why they should be added imagine these are the characters auditioning to Sakurai trying to persuade him to add them to the game, we want to see you build a case for your character on why they deserve to be in Smash 6 and convince us that your choice is the one that were should go with here and now. We will very likely ignore any submission that doesn't have any/good enough reasoning in their submission in favor of someone whose made more of an argument for their pick. If you've noticed that your pick hasn't been chosen by any of the judges maybe see if you can make a stronger case for them when you resubmit them? The difference could be what pushes us to decide to pick your submission over someone else's.
You get 2 submissions per day! Put them in 2 different comments and give a separate argument for each but you are allowed to submit 2 characters every day for the roster!
Me and the rest of the Judges can't make any submissions, all we can do is discuss and vote on the characters you've all picked-Though we may decide on a Theme for a day if we feel like the roster is in desperate need of something or we may choose to skip a day/ choose a character between ourselves if there's Slim Pickens when it comes to the characters that are submitted.
That's everything from me so without further ado, let Day 27 of Smash Factor begin!
