Family of 4 with younger teens. Experienced riders but are not looking for backcountry on this trip. Kids are competent to ride blacks and trees but they don’t want to ride every day. Prefer accomodation in a village base with easy access to lifts and that is walkable to shops, cafes, other activities. Ideally somewhere that kids can get around themselves if one of them wants to go back early or go out for some non-ski exploring. We have been to Niseko before and have travelled around Japan.

Edit: Nozawa looks good but available accommodation doesn’t work. Hence considering Hakuba and Myoko.
