I (OP) recently started a game project. I invited my friend "Naut" to help with music and feedback. From the start, things were rocky. Whenever I asked for feedback on lore or mechanics, he’d either say "it’s your game, I shouldn't care" or just shoot down my ideas without offering alternatives. He also tried to copy movesets from other games instead of being original.

The breaking point came over a song and the game's title. I decided on the name The Last Gameshow. Naut wanted to drop the "The" because he claimed we’d get sued by a Discord activity (which is a totally different genre/platform). I told him "No," and specifically told him not to publish the song he made yet because we didn't have a professional channel or visualizer ready.

I woke up the next day and he had published the song anyway using his version of the title. I lost it on him, pointing out his own logic that "it’s my game." He then dragged a third party, "Minos," into the drama. Minos took Naut’s side, telling him to "watch his mental health" like I was some kind of monster.

I eventually blocked Naut. Later, he tried to "warn" people I was befriending to "be careful" of me. Recently, he posted a "miss you" TikTok in a group chat right after I messaged. I replied saying my life was better without him, and he called me "egotistical," claiming the post wasn't about me (even though the timing was obvious).
