urgent

This is like the 19920191th post ive made here about accommodation but whatever

I feel so stupid right now. i went on kings accommodation and ALMOST!! booked a room. I did not go through with a deposit or anything and so I thought i did not book one (obviously right?)

HOWEVER!!!

when i went to check later on (around 30 mins later) i cannot book a room because i apparently have a room already?? here comes the moment of stupidity, i go to cancel the room (that i am 100% certain i DID NOT BOOK) and i cancel it- (this is completely my fault as i did not read up on cancelling rooms vs changing rooms and whatnot, im pretty sure that now i can only book a room after alevel results day) but i thought it would be fine because i didn’t book a room in the first place?!?!?

now i cannot even access accommodations and ive been emailing kcl residences but they are no help at all theyre not answering my question😭

i am not eligible for KAAS and so i would have had to pay a deposit but i didnt and i assume the room was still booked?

again cancelling the room was a rushed decision and i did not take time to think about the consequences however i really did rhink i was fine because i didn’t even book a room so how would i even cancel a room that i did not book?!?!????

im so lost and im panicking a bit😭

does anyone have any suggestions? emailing has gotten me nowhere so maybe i will call

booking accommodation

hello! i just wanted to ask if anyone else is struggling/ has struggled to book accommodation?

I have a couple questions…

the first two pictures are what happens when I click on the 48 week contract button, i do not and have not indicated that i would qualify for either kaas or adp, so i am unsure what’s going on there.

i was able to access the accommodations up until i put in my student finance application, maybe that is related? however even from there i would not qualify for anything, has anyone else experienced this?

-the next three pictures are what happens when i choose the ‘next’ button, so the regular 40wk contracts.

i am able to see the available accommodations and click on the room codes but all that appears is whats on slide 5.

i am unable to proceed amd what happens is on slide six.

i am really confused, but honestly it might just be a me problem, i might have misunderstood how to book the room amd im just being silly

i’ve also sent emails to kcl but am unsure if i am writing to the right people, so if anyone has any contacts that would be greatly appreciated.

thank you so much!

gdsa accomodation

hi everyone! i just have a couple questions

- can you book kcl accomodation on an ipad/phone? i don’t have a laptop and when i try i cannot select a room

- i cannot go through to actually looking at accom, it says that they are assessing my kaas/ asd application however i would not qualify/ i have not stated that u would qualify for either, has anyone else got this problem?

- what would G09-106 mean? is it block 9 floor 10 flat 6 or floor 1 flat 06

- best flat/ room in gdsa? i think the only available accoms for me are in block 9 so what would give me the best view? ( honestly not fussed about it but if i can pick a nicer room then why not )

thank you :)

accommodation for 48 weeks as a nursing student + gdsa questions

hi guys!! i will hopefully be doing nursing starting september this year amd just have some questions about accommodation,

the ss above is what it says when i go to book accommodation, does this mean that gdsa is the only accom doing 48 week contracts?

i was hoping for either ssa (as its right infront of waterloo campus) but was also looking at gdsa too as ive heard that it’s one of the best socially.

also this might be a silly question but would i actually need a 48 week contract? im totally fine with it but just wanted to know if i could survive with a 40wk contract instead

also if i was to pick gdsa, what block/floor/room(?) - a b c d e f g h (?) sorry if that doesn’t make sense, would give me the best view? not that im picky but just wanted to know

sorry if it’s a bit wordy

thank you :))
