I met a girl on a random video calling app around 1.5 years ago. We’ve been talking on and off since then and met once in real life. She lives in a different city, so most of our interaction is online (texts, calls, Snapchat).
Our dynamic has always been a bit inconsistent. Sometimes she’s very responsive — calls me, sends snaps, talks normally — and other times she becomes distant, gives short replies, or disappears. She never committed me but calls me baby and sleep with me in call at night .
Recently, I noticed a few changes:
She removed her likes/comments from my Instagram
Possibly restricted or muted me (not fully sure)
Replies have been slower and less engaging
Still sends snaps sometimes, but mostly just to maintain streaks
Mood-wise, she sometimes seems low or uninterested
At the same time:
She still calls occasionally
She responds when I text (but often low effort)
There’s no clear communication about what she wants
I also noticed another guy on her profile she seems to engage with more, which made me wonder if she’s seeing someone else, but I don’t have confirmation.
Now I’m confused:
Is she losing interest?
Keeping me around casually?
Or just naturally inconsistent?
I’ve started pulling back (less texting, stopped initiating snaps) to protect my own peace.
Would appreciate an outside perspective on what this situation looks like and how I should handle it.
