My partner and I just signed a lease for September and noticed today when googling our new apartment that the owner has put the building up for sale. I know a new owner cannot kick out a tenant during a lease term unless the tenant has violated the lease, but could our lease be cancelled if it sells before our lease starts on 9/1?
